What’s up EasyLovers?!?

You have probably heard by now that EasyLove Records brought Porter Robinson to IV this past Thursday. If you weren’t there, you seriously missed out on one of the craziest parties ever hosted in IV. Now, this week we’re holding it down at Velvet Jones in downtown Santa Barbara with RedEye Presents. RedEye Presents will be bringing the mega-popular indie/dance group Designer Drugs to melt your face off this Thursday with their finest selection of music.
Additionally, EasyLove’s own Dave Tannin is opening up for them. You’re not gonna want to miss his set either!

If you are not familiar with Designer Drugs music then prepare yourself for a crash course through their music evolution. If you listen to their discography from start to finish, you’ll quickly realize the wide production range these guys possess. The duo which consists of Michael Vincent Patrick and Theodore Paul Nelson have been around in the blogosphere for a while now. However, they have progressed a long ways from some of their earlier work. They now manage a record label called, Sex Cult Records. These New Yorker boys really know how to produce bangers as well. Their remix for Scanner‘s We Never Close Our Eyes, is a track filled with crazy rave stabs and double kick bass throughout the track. Check it out below:

Now on to their original work; which is equally as impressive. Their latest album, Hardcore/Softcore, included an arsenal of electro bangers, but my two personal favorite were Drop Down and Through The Prism. Listen to them yourself and you’ll understand why:
